Learn more about our insurance policy and late cancellations/ no show policy

  • Do I need a prescription for Physical Therapy?
Due to the Direct Access law in the state of New Jersey you can see a physical therapist for up to 10 visits or 30 days from your initial assessment (whichever comes first) without a script from a physician. However, it is recommended that you have a referral from your physician, for physical therapy, because some insurance companies will not reimburse for services performed without a physician’s prescription.
  • Do you accept insurance?
Renaissance Physical Therapy Arts + Wellness is an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. Being out-of-network allows for more time for quality individualized treatment. Many insurance plans do provide out-of-network benefits. Prior to your first visit, your insurance company will be contacted to determine what your benefits are. In addition, Renaissance Physical Therapy Arts + Wellness will process claims for patients.
  • Late Cancellation/ No Show Policy
There is a 24-hour late cancellation policy. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance you will be charged for your missed appointment. This cannot be reimbursed by your insurance company. If you reschedule your appointment for another time during the same week, pending availability, the late fee will be waived. Please note: There is also a Covid 19 exception to the late cancellation policy. If you need to cancel because you have been exposed to someone with Covid 19 or you have been diagnosed with Covid 19, or otherwise believe in good faith that you may have contracted Covid 19, you can cancel less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment without penalty.
